  15. <p>     DIED. Al TRACE, 92, swing-era songwriter and bandleader; in
  16. Sun City West, Arizona. Trace composed songs favored by the
  17. likes of the Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra and most recently
  18. country singer K.T. Oslin. However, he was famously associated
  19. with a 1943 hit that he did not write but rather performed:
  20. the novelty number Mairzy Doats, a jivey summation of farmyard
  21. food preferences that immortalized the nonsense syllables "Mairzy
  22. doats and dozy doats and liddle lamzy divey..."
